David's King's

Computer science is a really engaging subject in which you are educated about the role and importance of computers in modern society.

My favourite subject is computer science as it is a really engaging subject in which you are educated about the role and importance of computers in modern society. We have learnt how to programme computers, including how to code, which is becoming an increasingly desirable skill in the job market. We are really lucky to be taught this so early as it gives us time to really develop these skills.

The most crucial skill is to be highly aware of people and you surroundings; a skill that applies heavily to daily life.

King’s is also very unique in the range of subjects and activities students have available to them. Every student learns Jujitsu and fencing, and has the chance to join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF). CFF is designed to help us develop our leadership abilities and demonstrate our endeavour to succeed.

In fencing, the most crucial skill is to be highly aware of people and your surroundings; a skill that applies heavily to daily life. Fencing has also allowed me to develop my self-awareness especially during paired activities where we must work closely with a partner. These two sports combined have afforded me essential skills that can be utilised later in life.

After King’s, I aspire to attend Imperial College in London and read physics. I then plan to pursue a career in the Royal Air Force as a fighter pilot. The idea of a military career really appeals to me, as I would like to represent and fight for my country.
