King's students achieve record results

Back

King's Leadership Academy students received their GCSE results today and were greatly rewarded for their relentless endeavour over the last few years. The average grade of all students rose significantly and the English and Maths pass rate remained very high.

Particular highlights from today include Lily, Thomas, Cohen, Keeley, Declan, Joe, Freya, Lucie and Ellie who all achieved grades 7-9 across their subjects.

Principal Katie Sharp said "We couldn't be prouder of our Y11 students who have worked tirelessly over a very turbulent couple of years. The last time this year group had an uninterrupted year of school was in Year 8 but as a testament to their continued endeavour and our staff who ensured no learning was lost during the covid period, their achievement today has been outstanding. Although today is about celebrating results, we continue to acknowledge all of the student achievements that showcase their excellent character."

All students have exciting next steps lined up with the future bright for the class of 2022 with all students securing a place in the sixth form, college or employment and we wish them every success for later life.
