Sixth Form Curriculum
The curriculum in the Sixth Form is based around traditional and creative A Level subject choices.
The choice of subjects at A Level can be crucial in enabling you to gain access to the university and course of your choice – but it is equally important that you ensure that you choose subjects that you are going to enjoy. All students are encouraged to discuss and consider their options throughout Year 11 and to consult with the Head of Sixth Form. You will have free choice from a wide range of subjects as well as further qualifications such as the Extended Project. The number of A Levels that you can take will depend on your GCSE results. This is explained in the Sixth Form Prospectus. Our Course Handbook will assist you in choosing the right subjects for you. King’s has high academic standards and students are expected to work hard throughout their time here undertaking a significant amount of work outside of class and school. Progression to the Upper Sixth is conditional on students displaying a strong and sustained work ethic and assessment results.
