Second in Maths

I am currently the Second in the Maths Department and a Maths Teacher with over six years of experience in two outstanding high schools. I've taken on additional responsibilities such as developing staff and implementing strategies to improve student and staff performance. I've also played a key role in shaping the maths curriculum and enrichment programmes we offer.

My qualifications include a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Chester, a PGCE in Mathematics, and a BSc Hons in Product Design Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University. My engineering background emphasizes problem-solving and creativity, which enhances my approach to teaching maths and allows me to link mathematical concepts to practical applications and real-world scenarios.

I teach maths because I find it rewarding to guide students through the beauty and logic of mathematical concepts, helping them see how maths connects to the world around them. In my free time, I enjoy renovating houses, combining my passion for design and problem-solving. I also like to travel to visit family abroad and explore new places. Additionally, I enjoy crochet as a relaxing and creative outlet. My goal is to inspire students to reach their full potential and prepare them for successful futures.
