In the interests of fairness and transparency, Warrington Local Authority compiles our Y7 admission lists. To apply for a place, you will need to state King’s Leadership Academy Warrington as a preference on your home Local Authority Application Form by 31st October.
The academy is a popular choice with parents and is frequently oversubscribed. You will find our oversubscription criteria in our Admissions Arrangements 2023-24. If you are unsuccessful in your application you will automatically be contacted and offered a place on our waiting list.
For further information or queries please contact:
Where in any year King’s Warrington receives more applications for places than there are places available, a waiting list will operate after the beginning of the school year. The waiting list will be maintained by the Academy Trust. It will be open to any parent to ask for his or her child’s name to be placed on the waiting list, following an unsuccessful application.
Children’s position on the waiting list will be determined solely in accordance with the over-subscription criteria. Where places become vacant they will be allocated to children on the waiting list in accordance with the over-subscription criteria.
If you are not offered a place in your preferred school or if you are unhappy with the school place allocated for whatever reason, you have the right to appeal to an independent panel.
The appeals process is managed by Warrington Borough Council. Click here to go to Warrington Borough Council’s School Admissions Appeal page. You will find details here of their ‘School Admissions Appeals Timetable’ and other relevant information.
