At Key Stage 3, students begin their musical journey by exploring the fundamental elements of music and how these can be identified and applied across a diverse range of performance disciplines. Through our curriculum, students will develop fundamental skills in music performance and composition, utilising various instrumental techniques. Students will explore a wide array of musical styles, embracing both traditional and contemporary genres. Students will also embrace modern digital music production techniques, empowering them to create innovative and modern compositions.
As students progress to Key Stage 4, they will further deepen their understanding of music and its various styles by analysing their components and replicating them through practical application. Our goal is to empower students to become professional musicians in the modern industry and guide them in applying their knowledge and skills in their musical journey.
