I'm Mr Machin, a member of the mathematics faculty here at King's Leadership Academy Warrington. My First-Class degree in Mathematics from Liverpool John Moores University informs my knowledge-rich lessons where content is challenging, yet accessible to all.
My decision to pursue teaching stems from a genuine desire to help others improve, particularly in the field of Maths. In my classroom, I focus on creating an environment that fosters learning and encourages students to push their boundaries beyond what they are comfortable doing.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy coaching rugby, going on walks, and spending time with family and friends.
In my opinion, Mathematics is a subject which is crucial in developing life-skills in pupils such as problem-solving skills, conjecturing, and resilience; all of which will be needed once our students leave school!
