To me, professionalism means to act upon all of the ASPIRE values at King’s. All of our values; aspiration, achievement, self-awareness, integrity, respect and endeavour should be followed using the value of professionalism. For example, showing respect by dressing appropriately according to the event indicates professionalism.
Professionalism helps to show the best of yourself. If you are going to an interview dressed in casual clothes, then you would not make a good impression. This is the same here at King’s Leadership Academy Warrington, if you don’t dress accordingly in your smart uniform, others’ impressions of you would lower and your work ethic may also decrease as you will not have the right mindset for learning. I think this is an important message for my career, I want to make a professional first impression and be well respected by those around me.
